Bio

Linda Harrison-Parsons is an award winning artist whose work is inspired by the natural world. Travel to Africa, Canada, Europe and throughout the U.S. has influenced her work by giving her the opportunity to see nature in the wild. A graduate from Maryland Institute, College of Art, Linda, studied with Abbey Sangiamo where she found her passion in drawing. She works in a reductive technique on hand made cotton rag paper. She received a M.F.A. from George Washington University. A Charter Member & past president of Maryland Printmakers, Inc. she co-chaired & hosted Southern Graphics Council conference in Baltimore, MD. Linda organized international printmaking exchanges & exhibits with the Cultural Arts in Brazil. Linda was certified as Artist in Resident through Maryland State Arts Council, working with students of all ages & special needs students since 1994. She has been invited to teach pastel & painting workshops in New Mexico, Wisconsin, Florida, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Arizona and Africa. She has work in Businesses & private collections throughout, North America, South America, Africa, & Europe.
