Khadijah Z. Ali-Coleman, Ed.D. is a playwright and the 2023-2026 Poet Laureate of Prince George’s County, Maryland. More than a half dozen of her plays have been presented on stages including the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Baltimore Theatre Project, Anacostia Playhouse and Theatre Alliance. She is a Watering Hole fellow, a 2019 Theatre Alliance Quadrant Playwright and recipient of grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and Prince George’s County Arts and Humanities Council. She has participated in numerous 48-hour film projects, with her 2018 short film, “Bunt” receiving an award for “Best Song.” She is the founding director of Liberated Muse Arts Group.
