A Passion for Oysters, Dave Harp, Director.

Join The Oyster Question author Christine Keiner, Richard Anderson (post production) and Bill Troxler (music score) in discussing this documentary about the threatened Chesapeake Bay oyster industry. Once the largest oyster fishery in the world, the Chesapeake Bay had teetered on extinction until Maryland’s “something for everyone approach” had watermen, oyster farmers and the Bay’s ecosystem working together. Finding common ground is never easy, but we now enjoy the largest wild oyster harvest in 35 years and see aquaculture increasing ten-fold. Don’t those oysters taste wonderful!
