Bio

Wesley Haycock is a rising presence in the Maryland bluegrass community, currently serving as studio and production assistant to Sarah Larsen. A fiddler first and foremost, his playing is shaped by a wide range of influences, including Alex Hargreaves, Aubrey Haynie, Bobby Hicks, Kenny Baker, Rickie Simpkins, Joe Greene, Jay Unger, Michael Cleveland, Darol Anger—and Sarah Larsen.

Wesley is co-producer of the Annapolis Opry, a concert series dedicated to showcasing Maryland’s bluegrass talent, from seasoned professionals to pre-teen musicians. He also manages The Grasskickers, a youth band offering fresh interpretations of traditional bluegrass music, and oversees operations at Little Fiddle Studio, a growing educational hub focused on traditional and classical music instruction.

Outside of music, Wesley studies Biology at the University of Maryland. When he’s not practicing or producing, he can usually be hiking and camping—or daydreaming about a future move to Alaska.
