Jumoke Ajanku has been a part of the Common Ground on the Hill faculty for many years. He first came to Common Ground on the Hill as part of Sankofa Dance Theater. He was a music teacher at Connexions Academy, and has worked at Young Audiences/Arts for Learning and Wombwork Productions. Jumoke was a 2013 recipient of a Maryland State Arts Council Apprenticeship Award with Master Manding Kora player Amadou Kouyate.
