Embracing Open Mic Performance with Confidence
Gain the tools to shine on stage in any situation! This workshop is a combination of “open mic” style performance and practical exercises designed to help develop stage presence, vocal production, body language, comedy, and timing. Through methods of calming nerves, redirecting fear, and building self-assurance, participants learn the tools to be at ease in front of large groups and comfortably command the attention of an audience. Beyond the realm of performance, these skills extend to various aspects of daily life, including work presentations, teaching, networking, and social interactions. This is a great opportunity to share your songs, poetry, storytelling (or anything else you’ve been working on at Common Ground on the Hill), hone your craft and find your inner light. All skill levels are encouraged. Students may bring their own pieces to perform or can choose to work on material provided.
Schedule a week or two, or three! Or, just sprinkle some classes in between other commitments.
