Jose Flores is a distinguished U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served 30 years, retiring as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer after holding every major leadership position throughout his military career. A native of the Bronx and Brooklynand a proud Latino, Jose rose from humble beginnings to build a legacy defined by discipline, resilience, and service. His military tenure includes deployments in Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom, where he strengthened his commitment to leadership, teamwork, and cultural understanding.
Following his military retirement, Jose continued his dedication to public service through his federal career, working for both the Department of War and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. His work focused on supporting communities, advocating for equity, and advancing initiatives that directly impact Veterans and underserved populations.
Jose is also a passionate Veteran advocate, dedicating his time and expertise to empowering military families, assisting transitioning service members, and promoting mental, emotional, and physical wellness within the Veteran community. As a certified personal trainer, lifelong athlete, and wellness motivator, he inspires others through his daily engagement, coaching, and leadership in community fitness.
In addition to his advocacy and fitness work, Jose is a trained mediator and compassionate End-of-Life Death Doula, guiding individuals and families through important transitions with empathy, dignity, and care.
He is the host of The Motivated Mindset with Jose Flores, a podcast centered on personal growth, resilience, purpose, and the power of overcoming adversity. His message emphasizes service, self-development, and the importance of discovering one’s “why.”
Jose holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Graduate Degree in Counseling, which further enhance his ability to mentor, educate, and lead in diverse settings. Today, he brings his unique blend of leadership experience, academic training, and personal insight into classrooms, workshops, and community programs—empowering individuals to grow, lead, and live with intention.
