You’ll learn swing chords on the mandolin – 6th, major 7th, minor 7th, diminished chords and others. We’ll work on some standard tunes from the swing / jazz repertoire and how to improvise on your solos. It’s not as difficult as you think to figure out most swing chord progressions – there are four or five that are used frequently. Let’s try some horn keys – F, B flat. E flat and A flat. It’s not too hard, once you get the hang of it. It’s going to be fun and rewarding.
