Learn to use the many features of Photoshop, including layers, layer masks, selection tools and more.
Photoshop 101 is a course in how to create composite imagery, whether it be a collage combining images surrounding an event—a birthday party, a wedding, or possibly a family trip, or images of a loved one, a new baby, a growing child, or a deceased family member; or a poster promoting an upcoming event, a music group, or possibly a rally supporting a cause. Students will learn how to work with layers, layer masks, selection tools, transformations and other useful tools in Photoshop. This class is for beginners but covers a great deal.
Class limit: 12 students, ages 16 and up
Materials fee: approximately $20 to print finished projects
Students should bring: your own photos on a USB flash drive or SD card. Photos may also be downloaded from the cloud. Photos directly from cell phones may not be downloadable depending on the necessary cables, software, etc. needed to transfer images from their phones.
