Students will learn the amazing sculptable properties of wool. Students will learn the basics of a simple wire armature, making tiny toes and use needles to sculpt wool into realistic/whimsical song birds: bluebird, chickadee and wren. If time permits, the 4th project is a cardinal. Felting surfaces, needles and pen tools will be provided.

‍Class limit: 8 students, ages 14 and up

Materials fee: $15 includes wire, pipe cleaners, blue/was and wool

Students should bring:

  • Small wire cutters
  • Ruler
  • Small needle nose pliers
  • Small scissors
  • Good color pictures of bluebird, chickadee and wren from various angles
