The ukulele is a great instrument for playing the Blues. We will learn a classic Blues song each day (different songs than Traditions Week 1 Blues Ukulele.) Then we'll cover the ingredients that make them up- the Blues scale, 7th chords, rhythms and turnarounds. We will learn techniques for soloing and playing in a group. On the last day of class we will have a Blues jam with all the songs we've learned and a chance to solo for anyone who wants to!  

Students should bring ukulele, tuner, paper and pencil, and recording device.
