Do you have an instrument that needs a strap or maybe your current one is a little drab? In this class we will make a simple and adjustable strap for whatever instrument you have. We’ll learn to cut it out, dye, finish, and tool it to customize it to make it completely unique! This class is great for anyone that is unfamiliar with leather as we’ll take a ground-up approach with plenty of time to practice and learn the skills for making your one-of-a-kind strap. NOTE: This is a one-period class.

Materials fee: $50 includes $30 - 3 square foot of leather @ $10 a foot

$20 - catchall for dye, oil, daubers, burnishing compound etc.

All tools will be provided but if students would like to purchase or bring their own tools they may bring their own cutting tools, mallet, or desired stamps. Tandy leather and weaver leather supply are the most reputable suppliers; Amazon or Temu kits are not recommended.
