Design jewelry using miscellaneous metal pieces
Max. 8 students, ages 16 and up.
Students will learn how to design jewelry, by choosing miscellaneous metal pieces. Using techniques like riveting and use of screws and bolts, they will create small concept necklaces.
Materials fee: $25 includes antique metal skeleton key, 18 G fine silver wire, small screws and bolts, small metal drill, fine silver wire, miscellaneous small pewter items, blank copper pieces, steel/copper 18” chain
Lab fee: $10 for use of consumables.
Students should bring
Bring any small metal pieces that you think would go together to make an interesting piece. Example: old metal watch gears, foreign coins, etc.
Schedule a week or two, or three! Or, just sprinkle some classes in between other commitments.
