What are the elements that make a tune sound “Irish?” Learn how stylistic features such as rhythm, ornamentation, and bowing combine to create authentic sounding versions of tunes. The course will develop listening skills and playing skills, while exploring different tune types and styles. Sheet music and recordings will be made available before the start of class. Students are encouraged to bring a recording device with them to class.
