Students will learn the fundamental components that make up Diné (Navajo) style weaving. This will include learning to familiarize themselves with the tools and mechanics of weaving, as well as the history and People that the craft comes from. Students will be able to learn an assortment of different techniques and some of the symbolism that is heavily affiliated with the medium.

Limit: 8 students, age 16 and up

Materials Fee: $40 (NOTE: Students wishing to purchase the loom may be purchased for $50 from Ken Koons)

Student should bring a pair of scissors, a ruler, a notebook, a pencil/pen and masking tape.
