Colored Pencils are an extremely versatile medium that can produce a wide variety of illustration types from the charismatic cartoonish, to photo realistic illustration. In the class, students will learn about how using simple techniques of layer, hatching, and blending can produce realistic and colorful images full of depth and character. Though not required, lots of other mediums can be used with colored pencils, and students will be encouraged to experiment with using any paint or markers with their colored pencils, if they have them. Students are encouraged to bring objects or photos of things they like to inspire them or to reproduce in this exciting medium.

Limit 15 students, ages 15 and up.
