Domrist, mandolinist, and 2019 Astral National Auditions Winner, Ekaterina Skliar debuted with the Russian Folk Instrument Orchestra of the Buryatia Republic at age 11 and went on to perform with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles in her native Russia. A prizewinner of many international and all-Russian competitions, she was also awarded a Silver Medal Global Music Award for her domra solo recording. She appeared in solo recitals and with chamber ensembles, and orchestras throughout the U.S. and Russia, including Kaleidoscope Orchestra, Trans-Siberian Art Festival, and the gypsy folk string ensemble Lendvay & Friends. She studied at M. Glinka Novosibirsk Conservatory (Russia). Ekaterina is married to domra musician Alexey Alexandrov.
