Ryan Nickerson is a multi-instrumentalist from Chesapeake Virginia. After receiving musical instruction throughout his childhood, his interest in traditional music developed while attending college. He relocated to east Tennessee to undertake a more serious study of the music, eventually turning his focus to early guitar styles. Deeply inspired by the rhythmic sensibilities of the past, he strives to present the older sounds to a modern audience. Ryan is a member of the band BOOJUM.
