Lee Newman is the founder of the Washington Studio School. He is a Fulbright Scholar and holds BFA and MFA degrees from American University. He has taught in a variety of colleges and secondary schools and currently teaches at the Griffin Art Center in Frederick Md. His work is in a number of public and private collections including the Library of Congress print collection, the National Gallery of Art and the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts.
