Katie Hancock has had a love and fascination with nature for as long she can remember. She never knew that her adventures picking daffodils as a child for her bus driver would one day lead her to become a Master Gardener, and complete an elementary STEM Leadership program as part of her master's degree. Katie has a passion for teaching as well as learning, and has been teaching in Carroll County Public Schools for 14 years. Along this journey she found ways to integrate her love for nature with teaching, and became aware of the multitude of health and wellness challenges in the teaching profession. This led her to take a closer look at the plants she loved growing, and discovered the many ways the natural world provides therapeutic benefits through the use of essential oils. Katie also enjoys helping others, and has been an integral part of planning fundraising events for the Veterans Initiative for the past 4 years.
