"Oaky," "developed," "bright" - what do these terms have to do with wine? Find out this and much more in this class with David Morris!
Interested in wine but put off by a blizzard of terms you don’t understand and intimidated by long, confusing restaurant lists? This class is for you. Like wine, but want a deeper understanding? We’ll cover that ground, too. We’ll taste a different wine in each class – and talk about its characteristics, its history and what to eat with it – with an award-winning winemaker and wine lover as your guide. By the end of the week, you’ll know the styles of wine you prefer, what to ask for in the wine shop, and what to look for on a restaurant list. Participants will be given a list of five wine types to purchase for the class (i.e., Cabernet Sauvignon, but not from a specific maker). Price point is totally up to you.
NOTE: The class is open to students 21 and older ONLY.
NOTE: Companion classes, with other instructors and different wines will be offered in Weeks 2 and 3.
