The pandemic has inspired us to spend more time in our gardens. Is your garden in need of a pick-me-up? Manage your own worm farm to convert food scraps into nutrient-rich plant food for your organic garden! Assembled worm farm kit and red wiggler worm inoculant will be shipped to you. Also explore the science and principals of “backyard” food scrap composting, composting toilet systems and small-scale photovoltaics. References: How to Start a Worm Bin: your guide to getting started with Worm composting by Henry Owen and The Humanure Handbook, 4th edition, by Joseph Jenkins.

Students should contact the instructor upon registration: ggoodhue@clivusne.com. Choose from two worm farm kits.
