Reticulation is known as "painting with a torch", sometimes called Depletion Gilding. Students will learn this HOT process along with some spontaneous granulation and hot connections. Previous experience is helpful but unnecessary. A full range of large and small tools is available for your use. Challenge to returning students: come with a design incorporating a hollow form!

Limit: 8 students, ages 16 and up

Lab fee of $10 for consumables.

Materials fee approximately $30-$50, depending on choice of metals and materials. The instructor will have sterling in all forms of wire and sheet, 80/20 reticulation silver, copper, brass, bronze, a selection of drilled and half drilled pearls, and gemstones too scrumptious to believe! Payable to the instructor via check or Venmo.

Students should bring:

• Sketchbook or plain paper
• Pencil
• Eraser.
• A selection of furry plant leaves or flowers to inspire you like poppies, lamb’s ear, Mullin
• Photos of abstract plants like Spanish moss.
• Any precious stones, metal and tools you have and enjoy using.
• A strong dust mask
• Eye protection (some goggles and shields provided
