This peace education curriculum is student- rather than topic-focused. Students are encouraged to explore the source of their own beliefs and attitudes and how these in turn affect their behavior. They will also consider how their behavior affects the behavior of others. We will explore episodes of man's inhumanity to man but rather than a chronological study, it is more about the psychological and emotional influences that allowed them to happen. Students will investigate what their response would be. To help with this investigation we will consider things like anger management, overcoming trauma and conflict resolution. Participants will be given lesson plans and exercises for a whole range of issues; however, many of the exercises are such that participants will apply them to themselves.

"Conflicts arise when we dwell too much on secondary differences between us: differences of nationality, faith, whether we are rich or poor, educated or uneducated. What's more helpful to remember instead is that we are all human beings and from that point of view we're all the same."
