This rowdy, free-wheeling workshop will be more fun than should be legal. Traditional New Orleans jazz is band music characterized by a front line usually consisting of cornet (or trumpet), clarinet, and trombone engaging in polyphony with varying degrees of improvisation (without distorting the melody) and driven by a rhythm section consisting of piano, string bass, guitar and tenor banjo. Other band instruments are welcome. Tell your band friends of all levels about this workshop!

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

This class is presented in partnership with the Carroll County Arts Council.
