Beginner:

Overtone flutes (fujara and koncovka) are taking over the world because they are easy to play and have a magical voice. Join us on-line - no experience necessary! It’s time to start to play the fujara or koncovka you already have at home, no matter where in the world you live. Learn to play intuitively by ear from day one, using tones of the overtone scale without any fingering, then adding more tones, effects and improvising with “blue” tones. The short koncovka has no side holes while the long fujara has 3 side holes, but both use the same overtone scale, so you can learn to play both or concentrate on one. NOTE: If you don’t have either instrument, you can buy one online (contact the instructor for assistance in choosing the right instrument for you).

Intermediate:

Advance your skills by extending your range, adding effects, learning to play in more major and minor keys, increasing your repertoire in traditional and current music, and trying improvisation. If you wanted to take the class in the past but couldn’t due to the distance to Maryland, USA, this is a unique opportunity to finally take the class from the comfort of home. Let’s play!
