Do you feel like you're in knots, unable to move freely? Or, maybe you feel discomfort or pain after playing your instrument or fatigue when singing? The Feldenkrais Method® focuses on utilizing the potential of the brain and the nervous system to learn new patterns of movement while at the same time releasing old patterns that may be causing dysfunction, pain or discomfort.

In these classes you'll discover what it is that you do to get in the way of doing what you want. Paris will have an eye on each of you, adjusting the lesson in real time to speak to YOUR needs. This will be done sitting in chairs or standing.

In Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM) classes Paris  will lead you through a series of subtle exercises which create new movement skills. You learn to do each movement without creating unnecessary effort, leaving you with a feeling of lightness and ease, no matter how heavy and tired you may have felt at the beginning of the lesson.

NOTE: There are two associated classes: one will be done sitting in chairs and standing (Period 1), the other mostly lying or sitting on the floor (Period 4). You can take one or both!

NOTE: Students will need a sturdy chair. Recommend no arms, flat bottom if possible, no cushion or minimal firm cushion. Folding chairs will work, but they tend to slant back and have a scooped seat.
