Looking for interesting and affordable wines beyond the common varietals?  A little wine knowledge will help inform your search.  Students will gain a basic appreciation of the diversity of styles around the world and will have a practical guide for browsing store shelves or a restaurant list. We explain terms that are often heard in wine tastings that you may have wanted to understand but perhaps did not want to ask. We will discuss how professionals evaluate wine, provide guidance on pairing (wine and food), and help each person answer for themselves whether they need to spend a lot of money to find good wine.
