  • Full Event: $90 Includes Common Ground on the Border classes, Border Issues Fair, two concerts and two dinners (Friday and Saturday). NOTE: Cost does NOT include Friday morning Excursion.

Evening Concerts

Location: Concerts will take place at the Javarita Coffeehouse, 17750 South La Cañada, Sahuarita, AZ 85629 (see map above)

Concert Hours: 7 - 9 PM, Friday and Saturday. Doors open at 6:30 PM.

Tickets: All tickets are available at the door. (Note: Full-time Common Ground on the Border participants receive free concert admission)

Tickets $20

Holly Near has been singing for our lives for over 45 years. Long respected as a singer/songwriter and social justice advocate, she effortlessly weaves lyrics that are tender, humorous, and inspirational as well as biting and challenging - and all the while she keeps it personal. Gifted with a powerful voice and a love for entertaining, Ms. Near puts on a great show reflecting on the world in which we live, the complexities of love, and integrity. www.hollynear.com

Saturday: Music with the Common Ground on the Border Faculty and Friends
Tickets $10

Enjoy a variety of performers from Jesse Palidofsky, Walt Michael, Pablo Peregrina, Ted Ramirez, and more. Playing the blues, country, old-time, ranchera, mariachi - you name it - it will happen. We'll also enjoy hearing and seeing student work from the Common Ground on the Border classes.
