Roy Kady a 4th generation master Dinè (Navajo) weaver/fibre artist, is from the DinÈ Nation’s  Circle of Cottonwood Trees - Teec Nos Pos (Arizona). Roy learned the art of DinÈ weaving when he was nine years old and continued to perfect this ancient tradition with his grandfather, grandmother and his mother throughout his teenage years. He learned everything from herding the sheep, through traditionally processing the wool and weaving the different traditional patterns. Roy’s weavings are considered very fine and unique, making them an art form acquired by collectors as well as museums. Roy travels to many parts of the country to conduct weaving workshops and to present the "Aesthetics of DinÈ Weaving" from his people’s perspective. His works are one-of-a-kind creations and can only be purchased directly through him. Roy shows at many Indian art markets, including the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Indian Market, and the Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Marketwww.dinewoven.com/roybiography.html

Dave Kiphuth & Linda Schrade   Dave learned the ropes of bluegrass and folk music in the amazingly rich New Haven music scene of the 60’s and 70s. He was in the Yale -based band The Ohio River Boys with the great bandmaster Billy Hamilton from 1966-68, and along with Phil Rosenthal, helped form another seminal band, Apple Country.  Apple Country helped forge New England's growing bluegrass movement, playing festivals all over the north and into the south, becoming well known for sharing the stage with the likes of Bill Monroe and his Bluegrass Boys, Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, Del McCoury, Reno and Harrell, Reno and Smiley and the Country Gentlemen.  Dave has recorded often and has played in numerous bluegrass bands New York State, including Walt Michael & Co.,  Chestnut Grove, Bluegrass Union and the John Herald Band.  In the past three years, he has been pursuing his growing interest in oldtime music and clawhammer banjo, forming the band Red Hen with his wife, Linda Schrade, Jane Rothfield and Allan Carr. Red Hen fuses oldtime with bluegrass and Celtic music. Linda joined the folk music scene in the late 60s as a founding member of the Albany-based folk music organization, the Pick’n ‘n Sing’n Gather’n, soaking up a lot of music at the renowned Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs.  She settled in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in the early 1980's, meeting an incredible cast of local musicians including Harvey Reid, Susie Burke, Cosy Sheridan, Cormac McCarthy and Sammi Haynes.  Linda has become well known as a songsmith and for her sweet, emotional song renditions. She has recorded two CD's for Gentle Wind, winning numerous Children's Music awards and has done extensive recording with various artists, and  for Scholastic Books.   In 1992, Linda and Dave moved to Saratoga Springs, New York. It was there in 1994 that she opened her now well known store, Saratoga Beads. www.davidkiphuth.com  www.janerothfield.com/jane/bands/red-hen-band/
